Whitebox Graphics has been unlike anything else in high school. I walked into the class expecting to grow my understanding of business. And while Whitebox has helped me build an understanding of how a company works, it has provided so much more. It has given me the confidence to speak well in front of the class, and one-to-one. It has provided many lessons that will be indispensable in the real world such as money management and smart investing. Through working with departments such as finance and production, I have learned the basics of photoshop and quickbooks. But most importantly, the class has given us students a sense of responsibility by guiding us to speak directly to clients and supporters. It's been a great year and I will definitely miss the experiences I had in Whitebox Graphics.
Whitebox Graphics would like to thank our customers for working with us, FUHSD for supporting the Virtual Enterprise program at Lynbrook High School, Mr. Ryan Shull for his mentorship and advice, and last but not least, each and every individual of the Whitebox Graphics team. It’s been a fantastic year. From our first trial of the printer to the SF trade show, we have continued to strive to learn more about graphic design and business each step of the way. Despite the challenges we faced creating a real-world business for the first time, we managed to succeed greatly. Whitebox Graphics may not be there next year, but the valuable knowledge we gained will stay with us next year, the year after that, and in our future careers.
